As we tail off the Christmas celebrations at the Hotel and prepare to welcome the New Year, we want to express our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated volunteers and outstanding staff at Cardiff Dog’s Home. Their time, energy and compassion make a difference in the lives of our residents every day and we could not do this without them.
Thanks to their efforts, no dog is overlooked at Christmas time (Santa Paws and his helpers ensure that!). This Christmas, every resident was on the nice list and enjoyed their own Christmas lunch, a treat-filled stocking and a generous assortment of toys.
The following morning, the dogs kicked off their day with adventurous walks dressed in festive jumpers (and antlers for Gomez!) and ended it by enjoying Boxing Day pupcakes made by one of our amazing volunteers.
We cannot forget about our residents on foster either! We have been assured that Santa Paws also visited Helga and left a new coat and toys under the tree for her too.
Together, with your continued support, we can create magic for our residents every day and not just during Christmas. So, we’re full of optimism and ready to continue our work changing the lives of Cardiff’s stray dogs for the better as we head into the New Year.
