The Rescue Hotel

You can't change a dog's past, but you can re-write their future.

Event

Get ready for the Rescue Hotel’s biggest event yet – Bark in the Park 2024! Join us at Romilly Park in Barry on Sunday May 19th for a day of fun-filled activities for your furry friend and the whole family.

Don’t miss the chance to enter your pooch into our exciting doggy dash, agility, and sponsored dog shows, where they’ll have the chance to win some amazing prizes.

While you’re there, be sure to explore our variety of stalls and vendors and grab some delicious lunch for the humans from the variety of street food vendors.

Entry is completely free, and all proceeds from the day will be donated to Cardiff Dogs Home, a worthy cause close to our hearts. We’d also love to extend a special invitation to all ex-residents – we can’t wait to see you there!

Don’t miss out on this fantastic event, mark your calendars for Bark in the Park and let’s make it a day to remember!

James Arthur

On Wednesday 20th April we were invited to meet James Arthur and his crew backstage before their show in Cardiff. We of course brought some residents along with us; Huw, Doris, Deb, and Eric, they had the best time. We’re incredibly grateful for the invitation and the chance to spread some love and promote just how awesome rescue dogs are. Thank you for making our day extra special! We wish you all the luck for the rest of the tour.

Collar Club

Helen was our former resident who is an XL Bully. She has now found herself the best forever home, and has two slots donated to her each week so she can run free…bless her heart. Frenchies/Bullys/English Bulldogs

At the Rescue Hotel, we’ve noticed a significant increase in the number of bull breeds, particularly French Bulldogs, English Bulldogs, and Pocket Bullies. These “designer” dogs have become increasingly popular, but sadly, many of them arrive at our doors struggling with day-to-day challenges. Most of these dogs come to us as strays, having never experienced love and care, often being used solely for breeding purposes. Despite their difficult pasts, we ensure that they receive the utmost care and attention during

Cardiff City

Despite the game ending in a 0-0 draw, we had an unforgettable time cheering on the teams and soaking up the electric atmosphere of the stadium.  Cardiff City players, Josh Bowler, Ryan Wintle & Karlan Grant with Hayley Perkins & Mathew Acreman from The Rescue Hotel & Maria Bailie & Cher from Cardiff Dogs Home What made the

We recently had the exciting opportunity to visit Jason Derulo’s band & crew while he was on tour, performing at the Utilita Arena. Although we didn’t get the chance to meet Jason himself, we had the pleasure of meeting his incredible crew.  Tofu onstage at the Utilita Arena.
