The Rescue Hotel
The Rescue Hotel was formed in late 2019 by a small group of volunteers from Cardiff Dogs Home. We could see how much love that was being given to the dogs at the home by the staff but wanted to do our bit to help improve the facilities at the home and provide additional care to those who needed it.
In April 2020 just 6 months after forming as a group we gained status as a registered charity and since then the Rescue Hotel has gone from strength to strength. The Rescue Hotel raises funds to support the hundreds of beautiful dogs who find themselves at Cardiff Dogs Home each year. The funds we raise will be used to provide food, toys, veterinary care, training classes, and any required building improvements.
Along with our founding Ambassador, former Wales & British Lions rugby star, Sam Warburton, we are now fundraising to improve the kennels and layout of Cardiff Dogs Home.
We want the Hotel to be a zen as possible for our dogs while they stay with us and at the moment the feng shui just isn’t right. We have set ourselves a huge target to raise £500,000 to reconfigure the layout of the kennels and make them more cosy and homely for the residents.
