On Sunday we cheered on our incredible runners taking part in the Cardiff Half Marathon, who so far have collectively raised over £33,000 for the residents at the Hotel.
The sun was shining as they set off and our cheerleading squad was eagerly waiting for them on Penarth Road. Our volunteers, alongside our very enthusiastic resident dogs, kept a keen eye out for our iconic blue tops, making sure our runners heard just how proud we are of them.
A huge thank you to every single person who ran for The Rescue Hotel. From the dedication you showed in your training to the incredible effort you put into fundraising, we’re so grateful for every bit of support. You should be incredibly proud of yourselves.
Your fundraising will help us continue our vital work with Cardiff Dogs Home, giving more dogs the second chance they truly deserve. We know that if they could, our dogs would have been right there running alongside you (except for Hugo, he is more of a spectator!)
We also want to say a huge thank you to everyone who kept the support up for our runners throughout the route. After all, it’s a lot of work holding those signs up!
