We have had a very busy calendar here at the Hotel this July, but you know us, we love any opportunity to get out into the community and talk about all things The Rescue Hotel.
Earlier this month, we had the pleasure of attending the Cardiff Food and Drink Festival for three brilliant days at Cardiff Bay and we are delighted to share that we raised a fantastic £1,700 for the dogs in our care.
Before we set off, Hendrix of course had to carry out a very important inspection of the goods ahead of the drive. Once everything had passed his quality control checks, we were ready to hit the road!
Each day, we were joined by a fantastic team of volunteers who helped us set up, raise awareness of The Rescue Hotel and sell our merchandise. We loved seeing so many people stop by the stall to learn more about the dogs and show their support. You may have also spotted our newest T-shirt design “Rescue Dogs Rock”, which is now available to order here if you didn’t catch us at the festival.
Over the three days, we were lucky enough to welcome lots of ex-residents who came to say hello, which is always such a special reminder of why we do what we do. We also had a visit from our wonderful ambassador Katie, who joined us in championing the dogs and helping spread the word about The Rescue Hotel.
A huge thank you to everyone who visited our stall, bought merchandise, made a donation or simply took the time to learn more about the dogs waiting for their second chance.
