A few months ago we announced that The Rescue Hotel was proudly chosen as the official charity partner for the Pitbull concert at Blackweir on July 4th. After weeks of planning and preparation, the big day finally arrived, and we were thrilled to be part of such an incredible event.
Our team worked hard behind the scenes to get everything ready for an event expected to welcome around 35,000 people. We designed and printed T-shirts so supporters could easily spot us, created temporary tattoos to hand out to those who donated, and even had some of the dogs at the Hotel turned into giant cut-outs!
None of this would have been possible without our fantastic team of volunteer fundraisers, who spent hours on their feet encouraging donations for the dogs. They powered through the gloomy weather, chatted to countless party people about the important work we do and of course, made the most of every photo opportunity with the dogs and thousands of Mr Worldwides!
We are delighted to share that thanks to everyone’s generosity, we raised an incredible £1,963.85 for the dogs. We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated and supported the dogs at the event.
